Foundry Tobacco's Michael Giannini and I teamed up to create and design this one-of-a-kind cigar humidor to honor the company's 50th anniversary.
"Time Flies" Cigar Humidor
"Time Flies" is an art piece about death. Through the imagery of skulls we see the decay of humans. The description of time is seen through the industrial gears and watch piece submerged into the forehead. The motif of continuous time is shown through the molten flowing metal. The plaque on the front states "Time Flies" illustrated by an hourglass with wings.
This Skull is a hollow construction piece to scale of a small human head. With a metal weight of 4lbs in Sterling Silver. The gears and small bolts on the side of the skull spin creating an interactive element. With a detail of oxidized drips on the silver's surface coming form the opening of the skull.
